Its a beautiful sunny day so the four of us decide to do a challenging 6 hour hike to some amazing waterfalls. We have breakfast and set off. The beautiful sunshine doesn´t last long and 40 mins into the hike it starts to spit, 30 mins later rain, then a hour later torrential down pour, even our gortex couldn´t save us. Keeping the map dry was a challenge in itself.
The hike was tough, series of uphills, river crossings, flying spiders (that was scary) and walking through long grasss (the Lee´s least favourite bit)
As the rain gets worse, and no sound of a waterfall, the famous four have a horrible feeling they are going the wrong way - and they are right. Their concern also turns to the rising rivers with all the rain fall and will they be able to cross back. Determined to get to the bloody waterfall, we resume on the right path and find its only 10 mins away.
Mike and Anna are thrilled they found the waterfall........
After all the drama, the waterfall is disppointing, but we eat our packed lunches in the pouring rain, so drenched that we are not worried at this point about the soggy tuna sandwiches.
The scenery itself is beautiful, especially with the low cloud that falls on the dense jungle-like forest.

We head back exhausted, all of us can´t wait to get warm and settle in for the night to watch Beowolf.....Adrians choice....
