Beautiful Cartagena

16 October 2009

We spend the day strolling around the beautiful colonial Cartagena.

Maj loved the bright colours and we found there was a French influence in the affluent area of san diego.
Such a gorgeous day, we stop for lunch at El Bistro a german run restaurant, excellent value 3 course meal 8 pounds for the both of us.

After lunch we head to the spanish inquestition museum, which had various torture devices and explanations about how the Spanish killed the indigeous people who they thought were witches.

We also walked the wall around the old town and soaked up the rays.

Tonight, we are up for a party, so we head to a Cuban salsa bar called "Havana cafe", there were beautiful people strutting their stuff with some very sexy salsa moves and a fab live Cuban band. After several delicious mojitos we strike up a conversation with a lively Irishman and the 3 of us party until dawn. Fun, fun, fun.....
