Hotel Belmar - in brief

In it´s hey day the hotel would have been beautiful, the building has some stunning features including mosaic tiles and amazing tile and water features throughout the hotel. With gorgeous lead lighting, it is in desperate need of some TLC, however as the new town (Zona Dorada) is more popular with the American tourists (by the way we are constantly mistaken for Americans, or gringos as the Mexicans affectionately call them, Adrian puts them straight " sorry mate, we are English") I don´t think any money will be spent on this once iconic hotel - which is a shame.

This is a pic in our room - putting to use the clothes line my lovely friend Claire bought us and the travel towel, don´t go travelling without one.
